Priced on drafts, not seats

You're a founder, not a sales floor. Paying per seat makes no sense, and paying per contact just rewards spraying. A draft is the one unit where our cost and your value move together.

What's in each tier

The human approval gate is in every tier, including the cheapest. It isn't a feature we can upsell — it's a boundary in the system.

The unit

Why we meter drafts

Our cost structure decided this, not a pricing workshop.

Discovery

~$0

Self-hosted crawling. Charging for list size would only reward spraying.

Pain dossier

~$3

Per segment, then amortised across every prospect in that market.

A draft

~$0.02

The dominant variable cost — and the only place value and cost agree.

Growth costs us roughly $39 a month to serve at full usage. We're telling you that because a healthy margin is what lets us cap your overage and refuse your money when outbound is the wrong channel for you.

Pricing questions

What counts as a draft?

One generated email that has cleared the specificity rule and landed in your approval queue. It counts when it is generated, not when it is sent — generation is what costs us money. Rejecting a draft still consumes it. Editing one, or exporting the same draft twice, does not.

Can I change plans?

Any time, in either direction. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades take effect at the end of the current period so you keep the allowance you already paid for. No annual lock-in, no cancellation call.

Do unused drafts roll over?

No, and that is deliberate. Rollover encourages people to bank a quarter's allowance and then fire it all off in one week — which is exactly the behaviour that burns a sending domain. If you consistently use half your allowance, downgrade. We would rather have you on the right tier than quietly overcharge you.

What happens if I go over?

Overage is roughly $0.10 per draft, about five times what it costs us to produce one. You set a hard cap; generation stops there rather than surprising you on the invoice. Nothing is ever sent without your approval regardless of what you have paid for.

Why not per seat, or per contact?

Per seat is wrong because our buyers are solo founders and small agency teams — you would just share a login. Per contact is worse: discovery is nearly free for us, so pricing it would push you towards bigger lists and vaguer emails. Drafts are the one unit where our cost and your value move together.

What if outbound isn't right for my price point?

Then we will say so at onboarding rather than sell you a subscription. Under about $50/mo ACV the arithmetic of cold email rarely closes, and if your market leaves no public traces — no reviews, no forums, no reviewable competitors — there is nothing to mine. In both cases we route you to the $49 Dossier tier and tell you to use it for positioning and content instead. Honest routing is cheaper than a refund and a bad review.

Is there a free trial?

You get a free Pain Dossier of your market before you pay anything, and it is yours to keep whether or not you continue. That is the trial: a real artifact rather than fourteen days of hoping you find time to evaluate something.

Start at the bottom of the ladder.

Take the free dossier first. If your market has nothing worth mining, you'll know in days and it will have cost you nothing.
